Kick, assist, break-through, acknowledged combination0- this match ended in such way that out national team could not achieve anything with such playing. I do not think that after several years, some Georgia journalist or fan will remind this match (even after months) due to some reasons. If reminds, he reminds only due to statistic. It was only an ugly match for 90 minutes. Who cares goals, while there were a lot of mistakes, football players used to make mistakes in very simple situations and finally, the result was the relevant- zero.
Temur Ketsbaia let two debutants play in this match:” Irakli Kobalia forward of :Zugdudu” and Jaba Davali. Striker of “Dinamo” Tbilisi spent the first time on the field and he was a quite active- he attacked several times but it cannot say that he created something special. It was not open match, where Dvali feels well in. He also did not have help from partners.
Irakli Dzaria was on the field, but officially it cannot be said that he was debutant, because against Albania he played for 2 minutes. Dzaria used to perform “a bad job” and was doing his best.
Some part of Georgian fans are pretentious and wants national team to offer a good football, but wish is the first and the second is that what is seen on the field- etc.
Many leading players did not play in this match and Temur Ketsbaia did not have any choice: goalkeeper Loria played without substitution, made defense line in a new way: from the right to the left, Lobjanidze-Amisulashvili-Grigalava-Kvirvkelia. Grigalava always used to plat as a left-defender in national team. There was duet of two left-handers in the center.
Kashia and Dzaria were playing as midfielders. The match showed is Kashia a midfielder or not, the match showed that Gurami is a defender.
Grigalashvili played as a forward. Kobakhidze played on the right wing, Targamadze played on the left wing, Dvali played as a striker.
Ketsbaia used to change positions for players as well as made several substitutions. For example, Lado Dvali entered the field as a center-forward, but when Irakli Kobalia entered, Dvali started to play as a striker and Dvalishvili started to play as a left forward according to Ketsbaia’s decision. In the second time Nika Dzalamidze was played on the left wing and then he started playing and he started playing as a midfielder. It can be said that the first time was equal. Mohamed Salah created the first moment, in the middle of the match, Targamadze could not assist well while attack and Dvali relevantly could not get the ball.
Kobakhidze’s attack was rather good, if Sandro were not in a hurry and would assist- he kicked and defender saved the satiation.
Egyptians used to play technical football, they used to play in a quite calm and balance way. It was more eye-catching in the second time, at the 57th minute after an efficient kick of Honsey, the ball touched the goalpost, Loria managed to save the situation and kicked to ball to corner.
Loria, who was not in a good physical condition, according to the last matches of Georgian championship, played well in another episode too: he managed to parry out the ball when Amr Zaki who was face to face him. In the second time, Georgians used to attack in a chaotically. It could not be called attack, but in any case it was a dangerous moment, when Dzalamidze received assist from Dvalishvili and he was standing back to the goal and that’s why preferred to assist to Dzaria. Egyptian defender saved this situation.
Finally, Loria pleased the public: being in distance of the goal he passed through one player and made a wrong assist. Thanks God Egyptians could not use this moment.
In a word, Ketsbaia’s substitutions did not bring any result. The match became chaotic, and in the last half hour Africans played better than Georgians. They got superiority in owning the ball.
0:0- an ugly match, the match which will be never remembered..
Nothing was not said about the captain: while absence of Jaba Kankava, Aleksande Amisulashvili was a captain. Amisulashvili injured twice in the match but did not stop playing. Generally, defense of Ketsbaia’s national team which is under formation can hardly be imagined without Amisulashvili…
