Georgian youth judo team gathered at the Dusheti Olympic base. The team of Gia Gugava will hold 16-day meeting for World Championship which will be held in Cape Town (South Africa) on November 3-6.

Head coach of the youth team has not named the staff of South Africa yet. He will name the staff at the end of October.

“I am not going to put two-two judokas in each weight class. Perhaps, I will leave some weight classes free” – Gugava told “World Sport”.

The youth team competed in European Championship one month ago. The tournament was held in Llomel on September 16-18. Georgian team gained 1 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze medals.

Lasha Shavdatuashvili (66 kg) became champion of Europe. Leri Chelidze (55 kg) and Levan Matiashvili (+100 kg) won silver medals. Mikheil Chokheli (73 kg) took the third place.
