Women's National Chess Championship Started Sensationally

 

Sensational result was showed at Georgian Women’s 69th Chess Championship which is hosted by hotel “Anaklia” in resort town Anaklia. In the first round, international grandmaster, Olympic and current champion of the country Maia Lomineishvili (3366) could not beat FIDE master Madona Bokuchava (2058) and played draw.

The game between Salome Melia (2044) and Bela Khotenashvili (2490) also caused a great interest. It ended up draw too.

Salome Melia – Beka Khotenashvili – 0,5:0,5

Sopho Gvetadze – Nino Batsiashvili – 1:0

Inga Khurtsilava – Sophiko Khukhashvili – 0:1

Meri Arabidze – Nazi Paikidze – 1:0
