Georgian women chess team has absolute result after two rounds (2 victories, 8 points) and as a result they are leaders.
In comparison with women, in the second round Georgian men chess team had difficult fight with German team which is the current champion of Europe. Average ranking of this team is 2667, which is higher than our team’s ranking.
The most decisive match was on the first board: Mikheil Mchedlishvili lost Arkadi Naydich. Other matches ended in a draw: Merab Gagunashvili (2578) played draw with Igor Khenkins (2656)), Tornike Sanikidze (2585)- Georg Meyer (2648) and Levan Pantsulaia (2575) played draw with Daniel Fridman (2653). As a result, our men chess team lost this match 1,5:2,5.
After two rounds, Georgian men chess team has one victory, one failure and total result is 5.5 points.
In the third round Georgian women chess team plays against German team and men chess team plays against Holland.
