On September 20, Georgian weightlifting team will leave for the city of Turkey, Antalya and they will compete in World Championship.
Head coach of the team Aleko Nozadze will take 7 sportsmen with him. World Championship is so important because sportsmen will start collecting licence points in Turkey.
According to the points collected in Antalya and results at World Championship, the best sportsmen will get a licence of London Olympiad.
In Turkey Raul Tsirekidze (85 kg), Temur Chkheidze (94 kg), Vaja Gongadze (94 kg), Giorgi Machavariani (94 kg), Temur Gogia (105 kg), Irakli Turmanidze (+105 kg) and Lasha Talakhadze (+105 kg) will compete in the name of Georgia. On September 23, Raul Tsirekidze (85 kg) will be the first from Georgian team to show up on the board.
Aleko Nozadze: "The team held a meeting in Chakvi since August 3. We had all conditions for training. I am satisfied with preparation of boys. We are expecting 3 licences of London Olympiad".
