The last month of this season came and decisive matches are ahead. One of the Play-off Xround matches can be called central match: this match is between Gia Chiaberiashvili’s “Zestafoni” and Ramaz Mumladze’s “Dinamo”. Leader “Metallurg” has away match against “Merani” in Martvili. “Merani” is in the last place in top 8, but in spite of this it shows spectacular football and strong resistance against opponent… and two more matches: “Dila” hosts “Baia”, “Torpedo” hosts “Kolkheti”.

 2.05. 17:00. Martvili. “Central”.
“Merani” (Martvili) – “Metallurg” (Rustavi) (1:2, 1:2, 0:2).

Since separating 8 teams, “Metallurg” has been unstoppable and managed to become leader. Koba Zhorzhikashvili’s team gained 22 points in 9 play-off round. Most of the leading players besides injured Irakli Modebadze everyone is in good physical condition. As for “Merani”, it is paradox, but it held the best matches against leaders of the tournament:”Dinamo” 2:2, “Zestafoni” 4:4, “Torpedo”-3:0.

And one more thing: “Metallurg” won all the three matches over “Merani” in this season.
 

2.05. 17:00. Gori. “Tengiz Bujranadze”.
“Dila” (Gori) – “Baia” (Zugdidi) (0:2, 0:0, 1:1)
Disqualified: Levan Kutalia (Baia).
Referees: M. Beuklishvili; M. Elikashvili, Ir. Ukleba; A. Krichashvili.
In this current championship “Dila” Gori could not beat “Baia”even once, but it managed to stay “Baia” beyond the quarter-final of Cup. According to the latest results and the staff, Temur Shalamberidze’s team is considered as favorite against “Baia”.  As for “Baia”, its staff consists of young players and that’s why has potential.  
On May 26 “Dila” plays against “Zestafoni”, but it can advance in championship. Five rounds are ahead and everything is possible to happen.

2.05. 18:00. Zestafoni. “Davit Abashidze”.
“Zestafoni” – “Dinamo” (Tbilisi) (I circle 2:2, II circle 5:1, III circle 1:1)
Disqualified: Gogita Gogua (Dinamo).
Referees: J. Khorava; G. Chigogidze, Z. Pipia; G. Dograshvili.
The central match of the round:”Zestafoni” plays home match and does not have right to loose, it is 2-point behind the leader “Metallurg”. As for “Dinamo”, it finished draw series (8draws in a row), won over “Merani” in Martvili and it is very determined.
In last 9 rounds “Zestafoni” gained 13 points, “Dinamo”-11. A lot of thing is depends on leading football players. In this season Chiaberashvili’s team beat “Dinamo”5:1 and two matches finished draw in Tbilisi. As for goals from “Dinamo”, only Spanish Xisco scored goal, but he does do well now and cannot advance in bombardiers.
The teams have several goals:”Zestafoni”wants to become champion and Cup, as for “Dinamo”, it wants to go through Europe League.

Since 2004, the statistics between “Zestafoni” and “Dinamo” is the following: 7 matches ended in favor of “Zestafoni”, 11 in favor of “Dinamo” and 6 draws. Goals -30:22 in favor of “Dinamo”.

2.05. 19:00. Kutaisi. “Central”.
“Torpedo” (Kutaisi) – “Kolkheti” (Poti) (4:1, 0:0, 0:1)

Referees: L. Kvaratskhelia; Zv. Erkvania, A. Kokaia; J. Buishvili.
The only goal for “Torped” is taking the third place and going through Europe League. Since 2005 “Torpedo’ has not been at European tournaments and now it has a real chance. If it takes the fourth place it is also possible to manage to go through the European tournament, but it will happen if “Zestafoni” manages to become champion. As for “Kolkheti” according to tournament situation it is not motivated. “Kolkheti” gained 14 points in 9 rounds. According to play-off points, “Kolkheti” is in the second place… only “Metallurg” managed to gain more points in 9 rounds.
The statistics in Georgian championship is the following: “Torpedo” won 23 matches from 53, “Kolkheti” won 15 matches and played 15 draws. Goals -79:57 in favor of “Torpedo”.
