While FILA was Sleeping

Champions and prize winners of Greco-Roman wrestling style were found out in four weight classes on the fifth day of European Championship which is underway in Belgrade. Information was not placed on websites of FILA and the championship. If not one of the Turkish TV Channels which broadcast live of decisive matches, fans would not have known anything about Top 3 until FILA wanted. The following sportsmen of Begi Darchia wrestled on the mat: Kemal Kharabadze (55kg), Irakli Chochua (60kg), Soso Jabidze (96kg) and Guram Perselidze (120kg). None of them managed to win medal.

One Georgian stood on the pedestal but he wrestled in the name of other country – Shalva Gadabadze (96kg) brought bronze medal to Azerbaijani team.

On the last day of European Championship – on March 11 Greco-Roman champions and prize winners will be found out in 66, 74 and 84kg.

The following sportsmen will wrestle in the name of Georgia: last champion of Europe (in 60kg) Revaz Lashkhi (66kg), prize winner of Europe and world (in 66kd) Manuchar Tskhadaia (74kg) and Vladimer Gegeshidze (84kg).
