Successful Start in Warsaw

 

Georgian women’s and men’s teams in chess started well the European Team Championship in Warsaw (Poland).

Georgian women, who are #3 seed, lost only 0.5 points against Austrians. Nana Dzagnidze, Nino Khurtsidze and Bela Khotenashvili won their parties and Meri Arabidze played draw. Today the Georgian team will face the team of Bulgaria.

Men’s team overcame Belgians 2.5:1.5. Mikheil Mchedlishvili and Levan Pantsulaia celebrated their victories, Merab Gagunashvili lost, Baadur Jobava played draw. In the 2nd round the Georgian chess players will play against Hungary.
