Vasil Maisuradze, head coach of Georgian U-17 football team, held the press conference in the media-center of Mikheil Meskhi stadium. Three players of U-17 team – defender Nika Chanturia, midfielders Giorgi Aburjania and Chiaber Chechelashvili attended the press conference.

Vasil Maisuradze: “First of all I want to thank players and people who work in our team. We did our best to play in elite-round. Though, it does not mean that we are through and everything ended up with it. The matches were difficult. Our goal was to get in the elite-round and I am satisfied with the result. Though, we made some mistakes and we must improve them”.

- Could you have defeated Sweden and taken the first place in the group?

- We had more territorial advantage against Sweden than in other two matches. Perhaps, if it had been a match of principle, we would have won it.

- You have mentioned mistakes. What are you dissatisfied with?

- We made mistakes in defence and we must not have been scored such goals. It will not happen in future. We are working on it. The middle line played well.

- How was the tournament organized in Moldova?

- We lived on the base of Moldovan national team which is 30 meters away from Chisinau. We had good conditions. We held the first match in the morning and traveled 80 km. We were playing against Bulgaria and that city was near the border of Bulgaria. Bulgarian fans arrived with 3-4 buses. That is why the team had psychological difficulties and started playing badly. But then we did everything for winning the match.

- What can you say about future plans?

- We are waiting for the ballot of the elite-round. When our opponents will be found out we will make future plans. We will need to hold serious sparring.

- Will selection process continue and will new players show up?

- The selection will continue. Perhaps, some new players will also show up in the team.
