Until Seisenbacher Names

Piter Seisenbacher, head coach of Georgian national judo team stated before European championship, that he would pay less attention to the results in this following tournament, when he would name the main staff for Olympic Games.  Before naming sportsmen for London Olympic Games, Austrian specialist will look through the statistic of each sportsman and will chose those who will have better balance.

On July 9 is deadline of naming sportsmen for Olympic Games. Piter Seisenbacher will name judokas on July 7-8. Before it he will learn decisions of other foreign head coaches. Olympic staffs of several national teams are already known, among them is Russia.

Ezio Gamba, Italian head coach of Russian national judo team has named the following sportsmen: European champion and prize winner of world championship Arsen Galstyan (60kg), prize winners of world championship Musa Mogushkov (66kg) and Mansur Isaev  (73kg), world and European champion Ivan Nifontov (81kg), twice prize winner of world championship Kiryl Denisov (90kg), world and European champion Tagir Khaibulaev (100kg) and many times world and European champion Alexandr Mikhailin (100kg).

All of them have quite good titles but they have never competed at Olympic Games before, whilst European active champion Beslan Mudranov (60kg), Almin Gadanov (66kg) and Sirazhudin Magomedov (81kg) stayed beyond the staff for Olympic Games.

As for the statistics between Georgia and Russia, Arsen Galstyan (60kg) has wrestled against two Georgian sportsmen. Amiran Papinashvili has negative balance and Betkil Shukvani has positive. At European championship 2011 Shukvani wrestled against Galstyan in final and in 24 seconds managed to beat, in repechage match Russian wrestled played against Papinashvili and beat him.

Lasha Shavdatuashvili (66kg), Nugzar Tatalashvili (73kg) and Avtandil Chrikashvili (81kg) have never wrestled against those Russian sportsmen who were named for London Olympics.

Denisov is a strong opponent for Varlam Liparteliani (90kg). Statistic is in favor of Russian sportsman- 4:0, but these matches were held when Liparteliani had crisis. Now, he is one of the leaders of Georgian national team.

In 100 kg Seisenbacher must make choice between Irakli Tsirekidze and Levan Zhorzholiani. Khaibulaev is not strange rival for any of them. Tsirekidze has better statistics, he beat Khaibulaev in the final of Tbilisi World Cup 2006, but in 90 kg. As for Zhorzholiani, he has played against Khaibulaev twice and beat him twice.

Candidates of Georgian national team in heavy weight: Zviad Khanjaliashvili and Adam Okruashvili had a bad balance with Alexandr Mikhailin. The only difference between them is that Khanjaliani managed to beat Russian sportsman once.

Several days before head coach of Ukrainian national team also named sportsmen for London Olympics. It goes without saying that Giorgi Znataria (60kg) who has a lot of titles and quite good statistic in comparison with both candidates of Georgian sportsmen was named for Olympic Games.
