Two Georgian tennis players Sopo Shapatava and Maka Chakhnashvili started participation in the qualifying draw of Open GDF SUEZ which is underway in the capital of France, Paris. Though, both tennis players lost in the first round of the tournament.

Shapatava who is in the 278^th place at Women’s Tennis Association lost against Slovak Jurikova (the 212nd) 1:6, 3:6. Chakhnashvili (the 239^th) was beat by French Severin Beltran (the 208^th) 4:6, 2:6.
