On December 7, "University Rompetroliada" of futsal championship started in sport gym of Georgian Technical University.
The first round of the championship will be held on December 7-28. Matches will be held from 15:00 till 19:00 every day. 16 University teams are participating in the tournament. 8 teams will go through the second round which will start on January 25 and will finish on February 11. Georgian University club will be formed based on winner team which will compete in European and World University Championships in summer.

On November 9, memorandum of cooperation between “Rompetrol Georgia” and University Sport Federation was signed at Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs. According to memorandum during 2010-2011 “Rompetrol” will support all kind of University sport events and all of them will be named as “University Rompetroliada”.
