Georgian U-17 team (the team of Nodar Akobia) will play at “Caspian Cup” in Baku from May 30 till June 4. It is 8-team tournament and 4-4 teams will be in each group. The groups are already filled: A – Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkmen, Kyrgyzstan; B – Georgia, Turkey, Japan, Uzbekistan.

It is clear that Group B is strong.

The team of Nodar Akobia will participate in the qualifying round of European Championship this autumn. Last year the team of Vasil Maisuradze competed in “Caspian Cup”.

Azerbaijani editions have already published calendar and here is the schedule of Georgian U-17 team’s matches:

May 30. 10:00 (Tbilisi time). “Dalga Arena”. Georgia – Turkey

May 31. 10:00. “Dalga Arena”. Georgia – Japan

June 2. 10:00. “Dalga Arena”. Georgia – Uzbekistan

The first-placed teams will go through the next round. So, there will be no semifinals. All places will be distributed.

June 4 is the last day of the tournament:
10:00. match for VII place;
10:00. match for V place;
16:00. match for III place;
18:30. final.
