Georgian national u-17 team gained four tries against opponent and as a result won the second match at qualifying match of European u-18 championship, which was underway in the capital of Romania, Bucharest. As a result of scoring four tries, Georgian team gained one premier point and guaranteed playing among elite teams. Final verdict became famous after ending the second match. Portugal won over host Romania 27:3, so no matter what kind of result will be in the last round, the first or the second place is guaranteed for Georgia. Next year two best teams will play with England, France, Wales, Ireland, Scotland and Italy.
Belgium was better team than host Romania, but in spite of this they could not show big resistance against Georgians. The match was very active, both teams were trying to play spectacular match and they managed it. “The Lelos” managed to score the first try after a good combination and scored penalty kick, as a result at the 7th minute the score was 7:0.
After that Belgians activated and soon shortened point difference with scoring penalty kick. At the 15th minute the score was 7:6 in favor of “The Lelos”. At the 17th minute Lasha Lashkhia scored the second try, but this time Georgians could not manage to score realization kick.
At the 51st the score was – 9:22. Finally Georgian national team won over Belgium – 27:9. On November 4, Georgian national u-17 team plays against Portugal and next year will compete in Elite round.
