Geor-Gia, Georgian duet of beach volleyball (Brazilian boys Renato Gomes and Jorje Terseiro), defeated Russian duet in the first match of the next round at the World Tour. Tomorrow they will hold match with Russians again.
Geor-Gia (number 14) defeated Russians - Prokopiev and Bogatov (rating 19) 2:0 (21:15, 21:14) in the first round of the tournament which takes place in the city of Finland, Mariehamn.
In the second round Gomes and Torseiro held match against Brazilians - Marcio Araujo and Ricardo (number 3) and lost 1:2 (21:17, 16:21, 10:15).
Geor-Gia continues fighting and will play against another Russian duet (Barsuk - Marishev, number13) on Friday.
Women's duet Saka-Rtvelo (Christina Santana - Andresa Chagas, number 12) is still playing in Finland.
After 2 wins Brazilian Georgians lost the match with Americans (Casie-Ross, number 4) 0:2 (15:21, 12:21). Tomorrow they will hold a match against Italians - Chicolar and Menegat (number 18).
