Two-Match Disqualification of Kobiashvili: "Hertha" Appealed

German Football Federation’s disciplinary panel gave 2-match disqualification to Levan Kobiashvili. In the previous round, “Kobi” was sent off in the match against “Leverkusen” (3:3).

If verdict is not changed, Levan will not be able to play till May 5. “Hertha” will host “Kaiserslautern”, then visits “Schalke” in Gelsenkirchen and on May 5 will host “Hoffenheim” in Berlin. So, only 3 rounds are left and captain of “Hertha” will miss two and will not be able to play till May 5.

Why two and not one-match disqualification? “Hertha” appealed this decision and let us see.

335 – Levan held this number of matches in Bundesliga. Ze Roberto of Brazil is a record-holder with 336 matches (among legionaries). So, if protest of “Hertha” is not satisfied, Georgian will not have a chance to overtake Brazilian this season. He will just equalize.
