Georgian Weight Lifting Team leaves for Russia with two sportsmen. There has been underway European Championship in Kazan for three days, but Georgians will start participation before two days of finishing this 8-day championship. On April 16 Gaia Machavariani (105 kg) and as for Irakli Turmanidze he competes on April 17.

Weight Lifters left for Russian without head coach Vano Grikurov. This time experienced specialist is in Poland. During his absence the coaches of Georgian sportsmen are Aleko Nozadze and Avtandil Gakhikidze.  
For Georgians World Championship is more important and that’s why at European championship do not compete leaders of Georgian Weight Lifting Team.  World Championship takes place on November 5-13 in Paris.  There sportsmen will have chance to gain license at London Olympic Games 2012.
