Twice in Rustavi

All three clubs which have ambitions to become champions play at home. “Dinamo” will host outsider “Samtredia” in Rustavi. It seems that these clubs should win but let us not talk about it yet… Matches will be held in Rustavi on Friday and on Saturday.

11.03, 15:00. Rustavi. “Poladi”.

“Dinamo” (Tbilisi) – “Samtredia” (I – 3:2, II – 0:2)

Disqualified: Giorgi Tskhadaia (“Samtredia”).

Referees: Kh. Gagnidze; M. Elikashvili, I. Machitidze; G. Vadachkoria.

This match will be held in Rustavi because euro qualifying match will take place at the national stadium on March 26. “Dinamo” is behind “Zestaponi” and if the club loses points, it will have to forget about becoming champion.

“Samtredia” is in the last place and has received the most goals. “Dinamo” scored 26 goals within 22 matches.

12.03, 15:00. Gori. “Kartli”.

“Spartaki” (Tskhinvali) – “Wit Georgia” (Tbilisi) (I – 1:2, II – 1:0)

Disqualified: Zviad Metreveli (“Spartaki”); Besik Chimakadze (“Wit Georgia”).

Referees: L. Silagava; Z. Pipia; L. Todria; L. Kvaratskhelia.

In previous matches, “Wit Georgia” won in Gori and “Spartaki” won in Tbilisi. The team of Merab Kochlashvili beat “Spartaki” in ¼ final of Cup. And now? This is the most unpredictable match of the round.

In spite of that “Wit Georgia” won last three matches, “Spartaki” gained 7 points.

Both teams do not have leading forwards. The last matches showed that Metreveli is greater loss for “Spartaki” than Chimakadze for “Wit Georgia”.

12.03, 15:00. Rustavi. “Poladi”.

“Olimpi” (Rustavi) – “Baia” (Zugdidi) (I – 2:0, II – 1:0)

Disqualified: Luka Razmadze (“Olimpi”)

Referees: D. Kharitonashvili; Z. Menteshashvili, B. Chichinadze; T. Gvantseladze

“Baia” lost 1:6 in Zestaponi. Before that, the club has received only one goal within 3 matches. “Baia” still hopes that the club will take the 4th place and they have chance. Coach Elguja Kometiani stated that they were in such condition that it would have been disgrace of Georgian Championship if they had taken the 4th place. “Olimpi” wants to became champion and hardly wins matches.

12.03, 15:00. Zestaponi. “Davit Abashidze”.

“Zestaponi” – “Kolkheti” (Poti) (I – 2:0, II – 2:0).

Disqualified: Mikheil Makhviladze, Paata Tskhvitaia (both “Kolkheti”).

Referees: Kh. Gagnidze; G. Kruashvili, K. Gabriadze; A. Krichashvili.

Nika Gelashvili, Rati Tsinamdzgvrishvili, Jaba Dvali – it happens seldom when players of one team are in top 3 of the best top scorers. “Zestaponi” is leader and scored 10 goals within 3 matches. “Kolkheti” has not scored one goal in last 4 matches. “Kolkheti” has financial problems.

12.03, 17:00. Kutaisi. “Central”

“Torpedo” (Kutaisi) – “Sioni” (Bolnisi) (I – 0:0, II – 0:0)

Disqualified: Teimuraz Parulava (“Torpedo”).

Referees: J. Khorava; Zv. Erkvania, A. Kokaia; A. Nonikashvili.

These teams have not scored goals against each other at the championship. Though, “Torpedo” beat “Sioni” in ¼ final of Cup. Management of “Torpedo” thinks about improving infrastructure. In last 5 matches, only two goals were scored in the matches of “Torpedo”.

“Sioni” held last two matches without points and they are close to dangerous zone.
