Georgian freestyle wrestling cadet team will start the season with Mushvan Isayev international tournament. The tournament will be held in the capital of Azerbaijan, Baku, on January 15.
Georgian Wrestling Federation informed "World Sport" that more than 20 Georgian wrestlers will participate in this tournament. But the list is not full because some sportsmen is going to leave for Baku with their own finances. The following 15 wrestlers are in the list of the federation:
Taifun Abdulaev (42 kg), Ramaz Darchidze (46 kg), Giorgi Bregvadze, Ivane Gabodze (both - 50 kg), Giorgi Revazishvili (54 kg), Raul Shakulogli (58 kg), Omar Gurjidze, Demetre Janashia (both - 63 kg), Shalva Chadashvili, Nika Melikishvili (69 kg), Giorgi Chkhartishvili, Lasha Gogrichiani, Giorgi Gogorishvili (all of them - 76 kg), Beka Rochikashvili (85 kg), Geno Petriashvili (100 kg).
Another coach Amiran Maisuradze will take the team to Azerbaijan with Tamaz Bendianiashvili. Gia Kotishadze is invited to the tournament as a referee.
Last year, Georgian cadet team competed in Mushvan Isayev international tournament with 14 wrestlers and the team won 4 medals. Beka Bujiashvili (46 kg) became champion, Irakli Mosidze (63 kg), Lasha Gigashvili (69 kg) and Giorgi Kakauridze (100 kg) won bronze medals.
