The 13th round of 21th Georgian national championship is underway at Tbilisi Sports Palace. In the first match of the day TSU beat “Batumi”- 95:74. Beka Chikviladze gained 21 points, Vasil Beruashvili scored double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds from winner club. As for loser club, Levan Eliadze scored 16 points.
Nugzar Cheshvili (head coach of TSU): “At last we celebrated the first victory. I would like to mention that “Batumi” is quit prospective team. In spite of victory we made a lot of mistakes. Due to being sick Niniashvili did not train for ten days and it reflected on his playing. As for Beka Chikviladze, if he continues in such way he will be candidate of national team in summer. As for transferring foreign players, I greet this fact , but not to reduce chance of realization for young players to my mind maximum two foreign players should play on the pitch at the same time.”
Mikheil Kobeshavidze (head coach of “Batumi”): “First of all I would like to congratulate Mister Nugzari. It is newsworthy that, we are in a very bad condition and it is quite possible to stay without leading players, but in spite of this we will do our best at this tournament. As for transferring legionaries, I greet this fact”.
The next match between “Armia” and “Dinamo” starts at 14:00 o’clock.
