Disciplinary committee of Azerbaijan Football Federation fined Kakha Tskhadadze, head coach of “Inter” Baku, with 5-match disqualification and 5 000 AZM. According to the Azerbaijan editions, in the match (“Khazar” – “Inter” 0:0) of last round at the Azerbaijan Championship, Tskhadadze assaulted Romanian coach of his opponent team Mircea Rednic. The 4th referee saw it and told the main referee about it. He sent Tskhadadze off. Former captain of Georgian national team will watch next 5 matches of “Inter” from the tribunal.
It is worth mentioning that Rednic was a quite famous defender. He is considered as one of the best coaches of ”Dinamo” Bucharest and he played in the staff of Romania at the World Championship in 1990. Rednic played 83 matches with the national team T-shirt.
After the match with “Inter”, Rednic refused to hold a press conference with Tskhadadze and gave interviews outside the hall. Also, the journalist asked him if he first assaulted Tskhadadze in Romanian.
“Should I believe that anyone knows Romanian in “Inter”? I did not even turn toward Kakhaber and did not say a single word. If it had been so, the referee would have seen me off too. I do not want to remind this incident because Tskhadadze behaved not collegiatively”.
Why did Tskhadadze get so angry? The reason was that during the match player of “Inter” was injured and was lying on the field. Honduran player of “Khazar” Alan Lalin continued attacking. Rednic described this moment such way: “I called Alan to throw the ball out of the field. He could not hear me and continued playing which is not surprising – he could not hear in such noise of fans. At this moment Tskhadadze began assaulting me”.
Here is a brief extract from the conversation of Tskhadadze with extratime.az:
- I do not understand why the press has not broadcasted my press conference completely. I cannot understand why they are writing such way. I will say again what happened: our player Amiraslanov was injury at the 21st minute. Rednic did not advise his players to throw the ball. Later, we were on the half of the opponent and player of “Khazar” was lying on the field. So, we threw the ball out of the pitch. We could have continued attacking. As for the episode when Ilia Kandelaki fell down, they must have stopped playing but players of “Khazar” did not do this. The worst of all is that Rednic assaulted our player and called him simulator. Of course, when Lankaran fans heard the words of the coach they thought that Kandelaki was a real simulator. Though after the match, I underlined that “Khazar” has the best, fair and emotional fans. It is pleasant to play in Lankaran. I hope that fans of “Khazar” will estimate the incident objectively. If they think that I am guilty and assaulted them I am ready to apologize. Though, I do not think that it was so. Players and coaches are working for fans. This is football and everything is theirs.
- Recently you are often under criticism of the press, especially one of the websites…
- This website has some pretentions toward me since last year. I think they do not broadcast the championship objectively. Also I read other editions and see that they analyze all matches, discuss them, tactics, players and etc. They do their job and it is pleasant. I accept healthy criticism but one edition has personal hostility toward me. Let them criticize me for bad staff and I will have no problem. Personal is personal, professional attitude is other. Everyone should do their job.
P.S. As it is known, one of the Azerbaijan sites www.azerisport.com, criticizes Tskhadadze every day because one and half month ago Georgian coach assaulted correspondent of this site and other employees. www.azerisport.com wrote this.
By the way, because of this incident Azerbaijan site has negative attitude not only toward Tskhadadze but also other Georgians. And we have seen mockery toward Georgian football not only once and it is not praiseworthy…
