Tsatsalashvili and Danelia Became European Champions

 

Georgian chess players won 6 medals at European Championship which took place in the city of Georgia, Batumi. Only Georgian girls are among prize-winners. Mariam Dabelia (2213) and Keti Tsatsalashvili (2266) became European Champions. Tsatsalashvili managed to become champion is the most prestige U-18 tournament. In the 9th round of the tournament Ketie won over compatriot Patman Rizhamadze (2018) and became champion with 7.0.points. Rizhamadze took the 8th place with 5.5 points.
Georgians had big advantages in U-16 tournament. Finally, Mariam Danelia became champion in the last round, Meri Arabidze (2288) won silver medal, she gained 7.5 points.
Nana Jibuti and Nino Jlaghonia (1528) competing in U-10 could not manage to gain enough points. Pole Olia Kiolbasa (1595) who became European Champion in this age category was ahead Georgian players with additional index, Georgian players won silver and bronze medals, Mariam Dolidze took the 8th place with 6.0.point in this category.
Dea Gogishvili (1899) could not manage to gain enough point for silver medal. She gained 6.5. points in 9 rounds and took the third place U-14.

Russian Ana Stiajkina had better additional showings than Georgian players and she began silver medal. Azerbaijani Ulvia Hasil Fatalieva (1959) became a champion. Telka Macharashvili took the 5th place with 6.5. in U-14. Nato Imnadze (1917) took the 9th place with 5.5.point.
Maia Bechvaia (7.0.), Anastasia Sidamonidze (6.5.) and Sandra Kapanadze(6.5.) were near the medals in U-8. They took the 4th, the 5th and the 6th places. Bulgarian Gabriela Andreeva Antova (7.5.) became champion. U-12 the best results among Georgians had Nino Khomeriki (1812) and Elene Sapanadze (1492). They took the 12th and the 13th places with 5.5.-5.5. Champion Aleksandra Gorianchikina gained 8.0.point.  
Among Georgian boys Irakli Beradze (2242) was near championship, he gained 6.5.point U-14 and was behind with additional showings with French Gari Giroin (2244). Ukrainian Aleksand Bortinki (2302) became European Champion. LukaOboladze and Nikoloz Petriashvili had the best results U-8, they gained 6.5.-6.5.point and took the 5th and the 6th places. Azerbaijani Azar Gadimbail (1755) gained 8.0.point and became champion.
Davit Gvenetadze took the 9th place with 6.0. point in U-10 and was two points behind the champion Slovak Viktor Gazik (1825). Nika Ghvamberia (1752) and Noe Tutuisan (1991) gained 6.0.point and took the 9th and 16th point U-12. Turkish Chemil Chan Ali Marandi (2180) gained 7.5.point and Champion.
Nodar Lortkipanidze (2239) and Nika Volkok (2159) gained 5.5.-5.5.in U-16 and took the 12nd and 16th places. Russian Ivan Bukavshin (2430) gained 7.0. and became champion. Zurab Javakhidze (2358) and Levan Bregadze (2415) took the 15th and the 17th positions with 5.0.-5.0. in U-18. Azerbaijani Vasif Durarbeili (2495) became champion in this age category.
