“Aia” Kutaisi ended unsuccessful serie in a beautiful way, in spite of three lost traditionally they played mobilized against leader and managed to beat. This club does not have good conditions in local city that’s why they hold the first 2 matches in the capital of Georgia, Tbilisi but they hosted the third match against acting Champion of Georgia and Cu owner “Lelo” Tbilisi in the city of Georgia, Poti.
It is obvious that playing in play off for “Lelo” Tbilisi was guaranteed but in the one hand according to Australian rules being in the top 4 is very important but in second hand “Lelo” lost match with “Aia” in the first round and this time they had chance of revenge. But “Aia” managed to win again, this time with big point difference 31:18. In a result of it they took the 2nd place.
Loosing of “Lelo” was profitable for “Vissol Kochebi”, first time they are among leaders. They hosted “Batumi XV”.”Batumi XV” did their best in this match but now their former head coach Levan Mgeladze who trains “Vissol Kochebi” knows all the advantages and disadvantages of his ex players. “Vissol Kochebi” beat “Batumi XV”33:23.
“Lokomotivi” also managed to win and in a result to this victory this club is in the top 4. In the last round they beat “Batumi XV” with 9 points difference (33:24) and they beat “Armazi” with the same point difference.
The tense and interesting match was held between “Academy” and “Kharebi” Rustavi. “Kharebi” Rustavi managed to win over “Academy” 18:13, but they lost against this club with 14 point difference in the first circle. The interesting matches for Georgian Rugby fans are ahead.
