On October 12, on the first day of World Sambo Youth and Cadet Championship, ongoing in Belgrade three members of Georgian national team gained three medals. Two of them are from cadet team. Ushangi Margiani (75kg) wrestled in the final, but could not win.
According to the information, which was released at one of the internet forum, Irakli Kupatadze (48) had the same result, but later several web-sites have published top 3of the world championship and was found our that Georgian sambo wrestler gained bronze medal.
Youth team ended yesterday’s competition with Amiran Ianvrashvili’s (82kg) gold medal. In the final Ianvrashvili beat Russian George Korel.
Today champions and prize-winners will be found out in four-four weight categories of age teams.
