Women's international tennis tournament, "Batumi Oil Terminal Open", which is hosted by Leila Meskhi tennis courts drew to a close. Prize money of the tournament is 25 000 USD.
It is worth mentioning, that more than half of Georgian tennis players went through the semifinal. Maka Chakhnashvili (ranking 2), Sophiko Shapatava (4) and Tatia Mikadze (5) won a right to play in the semifinal.
As for another host Oksana Kalashnikova (189) who competed in the 1/4 final lost against No.1 seed Tatia Mikadze. Mikadze beat Kalashnikova in two sets (7:5, 6:4). Kalashnikova won "Batumi Oil Terminal Open" last year. Kalashnikova beat Sophiko Shapatava in the final of the mentioned tournament. Unlike Kalashnikova, Shapatava kept the chance to go through the final. She will play against Georgian player Chakhnashvili in the semifinal.
As for the fourth semifinalist, it is Reka-Luca Jani (Hungary) who is No.6 seed. Jani had the weakest opponent from those players who went through the semifinal. Hungarian player easily beat Belarusian Aliaksandra Sasnovich (882) 6:2, 6:3.
Chakhnashvili and Shapatava held difficult matches. They had to hold 3-3 sets to win the matches.

Mikadze-Jani, Shapatava-Chakhnashvili will play in the semifinal.
Match of Mikadze-Jani will start at 12:15 tomorrow. After the end of this match Shapatava and Chakhnashvili will play against each other.
