Three Georgians Fight for Titles

 

Nikoloz Basilashvili who is in the 705th place at Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) went through ¼ final of Oklahoma City tournament (15 000 USD).

In the first round, a 19-year-old Basilashvili beat American Christopher Haworth 2:6, 7:6 (7:4), 6:3. In 1/8 final, he won over British Jamie Baker 6:1, 6:2. Baker was world No.211 tennis player in 2007.

In ¼ final, Bulgarian Dimitar Kutrovsky will be opponent of Nikoloz. Kutovsky is in the 562nd place in classification.

Maka Chakhnashvili has a chance to win Monzon tournament (Spain, 50 000 USD) where she is competing with Ivana Lisjak.

Georgian-Croatian duet beat Italian-Belarusian tandem (Camerin-Kustova) 6:3, 6:2 in the semifinal. In the final, they will play against Russians – Bovina and Savinykh.

Ekaterine Gorgodze will compete in the semifinal of Antalya tournament (10 000 USD). No.4 seed Georgian tennis player beat Swedish Beatrice Cedermark 6:7 (7:9), 6:4, 6:1. In the semifinal, she will play against another Swedish Sandra Roma.

No.1 seed Romanian Dinu and Bulgarian Shinikova will play in the second semifinal.
