On January 30 at 21:30 Tbilisi time will be held poll for final stage of European 2011 Championship in Vilnius. There will be name rival of Georgian National Team, which is ranked in the 4th seed with Great Britain, Macedonia and Israel.
Instead of 16, 24 national teams will participate in this final stage of European 2011 Championship. Georgian National Team had the best results among other national teams which were in extra list and after designing new format for championship, Georgia got in the 4th seed and others in the V_VI seeds.
After voting 6-6 teams will be seeded in 4 groups. I_III place winners will fight for medals and others will take XIII-XXIV places.
There were reps of Georgia with other delegations of participant countries in EuroBasket -2011 in Lithuania. They were the following: Besik Liparteliani (President of Georgian Basketball Federation), Giorgi Meladze (vice-president of Georgian Basketball Federation), Merab Ratisghvili (general secretary of Georgian Basketball Federation) and Irakli Samkurashvili (head of sport department in ministry of Georgian Sport and Youth Affairs).

I seed:Spain, Serbia, Greece, Slovenia.
II seed: France, Croatia, Russia, Turkey.
III seed: Germany, Lithuania, Montenegro, Belgium.
IV seed: Great Britain, Macedonia, Israel, Georgia.
V seed: Italy, Bulgaria, Poland, Bosnia-Herzogovina.
VI seed: Ukraine, Latvia....
