An International debut of Soso Liparteliani was quite successful. Georgian team gained 1-1 golden and silver medals at Grand-prix which was held in Rotterdam. On the third day of the tournament Varlam Liparteliani became the second place winner after hantei against Japanese judoka Yua Yoshida.
Before final match he held 4 matches. He beat Xose Kamacho of Venezuela in 44 seconds, in three minutes he won over Krzysztof Węglarz of Poland. Two minutes were enough for bating experienced Spanish judoka David Alazar. In the semi final he beat Russian Kiril Voprosov with yuko.
Zviad Gogochuri also wrestled in this weight category and he also lost with Yoshida in the semi quarter, Japanese judoka beat him with awarding of yuko and 25 seconds were enough for awarding ippon. Repechange rule does not work in Grand-prix and that’s why Georgian judoka took the 5^th place.

Yesterday champions and prize winners were found out in 100 and +100 weight categories. Davit Loriashvili(100) and Adam Okruashvili (+100) represented Georgia. Both of them stayed beyond the tournament after semi quarter. Loriashvili after beating Ukrainian Artiom Bloshenko with yuko lost with Russian Sergey Samoilovich who awarded of vazar. Okriashvili beat Dutch judoka but could not beat Latvian one. Hnek Grol of Netherland became a champion of 100 weight category and in heavy weight Japanese Hiroki Tachia gained a golden medal.
In 78 weight category Japanese Akari Ogata became a champion in women’s tournament as for heavy weight Turkish Gulsah Kocaturk gained a golden medal.
In teams tournament Georgian team gained the third place, on the first and second place were taken by Dutch and Japanese teams.
