Freestyle wrestlers of 66 and 96 kg ended up the international tournament named after Yashar Dogu. On the third day of the tournament, three Georgian sportsmen wrestled on Istanbul mat. According to Turkish website, no Georgian wrestlers stood on the pedestal – Ilia Khutsishvili, Koba Kakaladze (both 66 kg) and Beldukh Gavashelishvili (96 kg) could not get in top 3.

Azerbaijani wrestlers won both weight classes. Zelimkhan Husyenov beat Russian Dimitri Shadrin in the final of 66 kg. Khetag Gaziumov won over host Hamza Koseoglu in the decisive match of 96 kg. So, Georgian team won only one medal in Turkey. Vladimir Khinchegashvili became champion in 55 kg.
