Candidates of Georgian national basketball team and U-20 team held a friendly match at Ltd “Basketball Club Academy” gym. The score is 85:77 – in the favor of the candidates of the national team.

Davit Ustiashvili headed the national team and Archil Jgenti headed U-20 team.

Manuchar Markoishvili, Giorgi Shermadini and Kote Tugushi, candidates of the national team, did not participate in this match. Markoishvili is treating an injured foot. Shermadini is training individually. Tugushi has not returned from Barcelona.

So, 10 basketball players (Giorgi Tsintsadze, Giorgi Gamkrelidze, Anatoli Boisa, Lasha Pargalava, Levan Patsatsia, Mikheil Berishvili, Viktor Sanikidze, Nikoloz Tskitishvili, Nika Metreveli, Giorgi Sharabidze) played for the national team.

As for Zaza Pachulia, Taurean Green, Tornike Shengelia, Vladimir Boisa and Marquez Haynes, these basketball players will join the national team in Steinbrun (Austria).

Unlike the national team, all 14 candidates (Ioseb Lejava, Givi Bakradze, Tato Tavartkiladze, Giorgi Tetelashvili, Beka Chikviladze, Merab Bokolishvili, Duda Sanadze, Tornike Shengelia, Akaki Lomouri, Nodar Tenieshvili, Davit Dekanoidze, Giorgi Revazishvili, Akaki Dvalishvili, Beka Bekauri) of U-20 team play in this match.

The national team is preparing for the final of EuroBasket (August 31 – September 18). U-20 team is preparing for the qualifying tournament of EuroBasket which will be hosted by Sarajevo since July 14.
