The First Bronze was The Last

 

 

On the second day of European Junior Wrestling Championship, which is underway in the capital of Croatia, Zagreb two Georgian free-style wrestlers fought for bronze medal, but none of them managed to win.
In 66kh weight category, Konstantine Khabalashvili beat Moldovan Vaskan, Azerbaijani Israfil and Russian Batirov before the semi-final, as for the decisive fight he wrestled against future champion- Turkish Kaia. Unfortunately he lost semi-final match and could not win repechage too.
In 84kg weight category after beating Edon from Kosovo, Sandro Aminashvili could not beat Russian Tsipinova. In repechage Georgian wrestler beat Blgarian Mustafa and Armenian Tamrazyan, as for the fight for bronze medal, he could not beat Moldovam Eremiev.  
In 55kg Lasha Talakhadze lost with Russian Gazimadomedov and in 120 kg Geno Petriashvili lost with Ukrainian Kushkhov.
So, Georgian national team finished European Junior championship only with one bronze medal, as far as you know Kvelashvili won in (74kg). As for the team, Georgian team gained 27 points and took the 9th place among 23 teams. Russian team took the first place.
On June 21-22 was held competition among girls, there were not any Georgian participant in it. On June 23 is to be held European Greco-Roman championship, champions and prize winners will be found out in 50, 60, 74 and 96 weight categories on June 24- 55, 66, 84 and 120kgs.
Vladimer Adeishvili head coach of Greco-Roman team took the following staff to Zagreb: Davit Sanikiani (50kg), ramaz Surmanidze (55kg), Phirus Tsulukidze (60kg), Giorgi Davitaia (66kg), Lasha Gobadze (74kg), Robert Koblishvili (84kg), Yakob Kajaia (96kg) and Levan Arabuli (120kg).
