The central match of the second round was considered the match between "Army" (Ministry of Defence) and "Kutaisi-2010" (before this match GSAU beat Samedicino 63:57).
"Kutaisi-2010" had advantage in the first half and won it 48:39.
Number 11 player Giorgi Pirvelashvili from "Army" was the best player. He scored 4 3-point. Thanks to his good play, "Army" overtook its opponent and advanced with 1 point. But after this, "Kutaisi-2010" had advantage again and won the match 82:78. The best player of the match was Buba Kvimsadze from "Kutaisi-2010". He scored 24 points.
Match between TSU and "Sokhumi" turned out more tense. Everyone expected the appearance of American basketball player Michael McCary in the staff of "Sokhumi". He played during 25 minutes but did nothing special. American player scored 6 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists. He could not justify our expectations.
But the match was really very interesting. Damus rebounded 3-point of Sordia, added and advanced "Sokhumi" with 2 points. 40 seconds were left till the end of the match. A foul was committed against Markhvashvili but he could not score penalties and about 20 minutes earlier, "Sokhumi" attacked.
Pargalava, one of the leaders of "Sokhumi", lost the ball near the penalty area of TSU. Several seconds before the end of the match, Londaridze attacked "Sokhumi". Richard Damus made turnover but the referee awarded penalty. Londaridze scored 1 from 2 penalties and his team won - 94:93.
Mikheil Panchulidze (TSU) was the best player of the match. He scored 32 points. He is top scorer of Superleague with 53 points gained in two matches.
