World Team Championship hosted by the city of Turkey, Mardin, starts after a month.

Sopho Nikoladze, head of press office of Georgian Chess Federation, stated about it in the conversation with “World Sport”.

According to her, teams from ten countries will compete in the mentioned championship. Besides host Turkey, these teams are: from Europe – Ukraine, from America – Peru, from Asia – Vietnam and from Africa – Algeria. Other five teams were chosen by the results of the last chess Olympiad. These teams are Russia, China, Georgia, Cuba and the USA.

The mentioned championship will start on December 17 and will end up on December 27. The first round will be held on December 18. The last round and closing of the championship are planned on December 27. December 23 is a day off.
