Ten best Georgian Sevens clubs will gather at "Wissol" base in Didi Digomi district. They will fight for the name of the best team 2010.
This year Georgian Sevens Championship will be held by different system. Georgian clubs played two qualifying stages in spring and in summer. According to these results, those 10 teams were found out which will compete in the final stage. The fact that Sevens rugby is different from Rugby union is proved by that several teams of First League are in top 10. After 2 stages, “Batumi XV” collected the most points along with "Wissol-Kochebi". "Bagrati", "Hooligana", "Kolkhi Raidebi" and "Iveria" (all of them are from First League) are in top 10.
6 East and 4 West teams will play in the final stage. Kutaisi has two representatives - "Aia" and "Bagrati". Batumi and Poti will have each teams. "Kharebi" Rustavi represents the region. Other 5 teams are from Tbilisi. It is worth mentioning, that "Lelo" Tbilisi won a right to play among 10 best teams. But because of not having rugby players, they refused to play and "Iveria" Tbilisi took their place.
Teams are divided into 2 5-team groups. Only group matches will be held on the first day and the last round of this stage will be held on the second day. First-Second placed teams of the group will continue playing in the semifinal of Cup. Third-fourth placed teams will fight for V-VIII places with semifinalists. Last placed teams of the group will play for IX place. Playoff and final matches will be held on Sunday.
