“The first match is always important. We would like to start qualifying round well. That’s why we are still focused on the match with Belarus. I cannot talk much about Spain. Everyone knows what kind team is Spain. As for Belarus, it is quite strong team, which is proved by the fact that BATE went through Champions League and how Belarusian national team played at Olympic Games”- stated Temur Ketsbaia.

Chairman of Georgian national team held the meeting at “Basa”. As far as you know, on Monday national ream started preparation for the home matches against Belarus *September 7) and Spain (September 11).

Now I want to host any sparring match, but only our wish does not decide anything. We have chance of holding sparring match with Ireland and Wales, but nothing is decided yet.
… In this qualifying round Kankava will be captain of the team, who is still young, but he has gained quite big experience in national team. Kankava has habits for being captain of the team. In the previous qualifying there were a lot of occasions when we were missing the players. Every player who is called up for the national team and has trauma, has to arrive in Tbilisi and it must be decided here is he able to play or not.
Levan Mchedlidze also was at the press-conference with Ketsbaia and chairman of the team congratulated him birth of baby:
Mchedlidze:” Belarusian national team is a strong team, but we have to do everything for victory. We want to start qualifying round well. As for readiness, the main thing is that I am in normal form and does not suffer from trauma. I hope that I will bring success to the team”.
As for training process, the first training of the team is held at “Basa” at 18:00 o’clock and for 15 minutes it will be open for the journalists.
