Temur Ketsbia head coach of Georgian national football team held press-conference at technical centre of “Basa”. On November 11, besides Dimitri Tatanashvili, Levan Mchedlidze also will not be able to play for “Crusandars” against Moldova in sparring match. Giorgi Janelidze of “Wit-Georgia” replaces Tatanashvili, Irakli Modebadze forward of “Metallurg” will play instead of Mchedlidze.

On Saturday national team will train at “Basa” at 16:00 o’clock.   The same will happen on Wednesday. On November 10 as a rule national team will train at “Mikheil Meskhi”.

 Besides Ketsbaia, Lado Dvalishvili forward of “Maccabi” also attended the press-conference:

Temur Ketsbaia: “We have met Tatanashvili and Mchedlidze and due to injuries their participation in upcoming match is excluded. It is sparring match, but national team plays it and we have to prepare well. In case of winning we will not gain 3 points, but it will reflect on our ranking, if it is so, victory after such unsuccessful series is very important. There are several debutants in national team and most of the players who are called up will take part in this match. We agreed to substitute more than three times. I repeat once again, we want to stop an unsuccessful serie”.

- Have you found out anything about possible sparring opponent in February?

 - Not yet. We have sent several letters in some countries. We are not such team to choose our opponent.

- Is it still impossible to participate in Cyprus and Malta tournaments?

 - This topic cannot be solved only with friends. I have told Cyprians many times that I have been training Georgian national team for two years and why did not you invite us, but they cannot decide it. People, who organize this tournament, want to invite such national teams which will be profitable for them.

- Is it impossible to hold such tournaments in Georgia?

it is not impossible, but for holding such tournament is necessary to interest TV channels, to find sponsor and so on. It would be great if we participated in this following tournament, we would go there with two teams and would see everyone’s possibilities.  And now questions with Dvalishvili:

 - National team plays with one forward and you are playing the main role. Do you feel any discomfort due to it? Do not you prefer to have partner in offence?

 - When only you are striker in the field of course it is very difficult. But I follow head coach’s instructions.

- Georgia won over Croatia, did psychological moment reflect on you in decisive matches?

 - Football is interesting, because we had one moment against Croatia and we used it and as for Latvia, we could not use many chances against it and that’s why we lost.

- Supposedly you estimate your playing in qualifying round unsuccessfully..

 - Yes, I do.
