Since Temur Ketsbaia has become head coach of Georgian National Team, it has not lost any matches. 9 matches, 4 wins and 5 draws. Georgian players became more self-confident, but it is clear that quality is still far from desirable and it was shown in the second half of the match against Armenian National Team…

“World Sport” has connected Temur Ketsbaia in Cyprus and talked about Georgian-Armenian match:
- There were two different halves in this match. How would you estimate this match?
- Whatever can be said, it was friendly match in any case. I cannot be satisfied with playing quality especially in the second half. I made changes during break because I wanted to see all players’ possibilities. I waited for most of them much more. Each match of National Team is very important, but I think more about matches against Croatian and Israeli National Teams. It is pleasant that we started year with victory.
- The first time was really good. You seemed as if you were not concentrated only on result, in other way you would not make so many changes. Is it true?
- Of course, during friendly match you want to check as many players as it is possible. We gave rival more possibilities in the second half. I do not want to fall Armenian National Team into decay, but other higher class team would use our so many mistakes.
- Kakha Kaladze played as left defender at qualifying round of European Championship and against Slovenian and Armenian Team he was playing in the centre.  Where is Kaladze more profitable?
- Kakha plays in both positions very well.
- It is clear that, National Team has lack of creativeness. How are you going to solve this problem?
- Our playing style is relevant to our main staff. We have to know one thing: players must come in national team prepared. It is national team and not club, it is impossible to prepare physically player in 3-4 days, they have to work themselves.  
- You called up several new players against Slovenia and Armenia. Among them was Akaki Khubutia, who played without change in both matches…
- I am satisfied with Khubutia, he played well in both matches. Everyone has gaps, but he is well-prepared. He is always in the main staff in his club and it means much.  
- Why did not you call up Otar Martsvaladze?
- Besides Martsvaladze there are several players who could be called up. The door of National Team is not closed, but it does not mean that everyone is welcome. After starting championships in Russia and Ukraine we will see better who is in good condition. It is bad that our legionaries do not have playing practice, but it cannot be said about Martsvaladze. It is worse that some of them are without clubs.
-  First of all Malkhaz Asatiani…
- Yes, he is. Asatiani was one of the bests last year and it is bad that he misses so much matches. It is not left even half and a month before the match against Croatia and it is difficult Asatiani to be in such condition as he was before. I hope he will find new club soon. He is not at such age not to be able play high class football. He missed much, did not train with team and it will reflect on him.
- Have you watched video record of the matches of Croatian National Teams?
- I know quite well how high-class team it is and will watch video records once again. Croatia has very strong main staff, most of their player play the leading roles in their clubs. We realize how difficult match is ahead us and how we have to play. I am sure that there will be sell out.
- What about your nearest schedule: supposedly you will attend legionaries’ matches…
- On February 20 I am attending the match between “AEK” and “Panionios”. I do not know yet if Kvirkvelia participates in this match. Then I will arrive in Tbilisi and will attend Georgian Championship matches. Till March 26 there is much time, I will leave for Russia, most of Georgian players play there.
