Head coach of Georgian National Team Temur Ketsbaia at the conference (which was held in stadium named after Mikheil Meskhi.) stated the following:-“It is a bit difficult to demand team which did not win any match before, to go through European Championship final round. But if I say that I do not think and do not dream about it, it will be false. We are using our chance till the end”.Beside Ketsabaia,  Soso Chedia ( Ketsbaia’s assistant)  and Mamuka Abuseridze (coach of National Team goalkeepers) also gave interview to journalists. Though journalists' “target” was head coach of National Team.

-What kind situation is before match with Moldova, which will be held on August 11? Is there any footballer who will not play from called up staff?

-Instead of Levan Gvazava we called up Aleko Koshadze. Others are ready. I do not have information if any footballer cannot arrive. I wait for interesting match, because I will see all footballers‘ activity who deserve to play in team.

-Gvazava denied Georgian passport,why?

- Let’s not complicate this topic. We met Gvazava and had talk in Turkey, he has strong wish to play in team, but his agreement with “Terek” expires soon and the clubs which are thinking about his transfer will not take him without Russian citizenship. As you know, lagioners are limited there. We do not want to make problems for anybody. Gvazava has to make ends meet his family and we have to take it under our consideration too. He has to decide his own way will take Georgian passport or not. But the version as if he does not want to play in team is not true. We cannot give guarantee to any footballer of being in main staff constantly.

-So, it is possible Gvazava to take Georgian passport before match with Greece, is not it?

-We do not know, he has to decide himself.

-Lasha Salukvadze trains individually and said that would come in Moldova.

-  We are glad, probably he will be able to play in Moldova.

- We begin selective round with Greece. How do you think, head coach of Greece Fernando Santhush will change team staff and play radically?

-Santhush called up some new footballers, but I do not think so that will be radical changes. I know Greek football and their specific very well. I think Santhush will not call up footballer who we do not know.

 -  Will you have meeting in Cypress before match with Greece?

- Yes, we will. In one hand there are good conditions in Cyprus and in another hand it is near to Greece.

- When are you leaving for Cyprus?

- If everything will be according to plan, we will be there on August 30, On September 2 we will leave for Athen and will train there for match.

- Is selective group’s calendar suitable for you? First of all, I mean match with Greece,which is interior...

- Everyone should play everyone. So, I do not give big importance to it.

- What importance do you give to match with Moldova? Do you consider it as a preparation before Greece?

- Sure, the main is exactly this. We want to have information about each footballer, who are in team staff. I will not hide that in this match I will pay more attention to footballers who play in Rassia, because there is Championship now and footballers are also in better condition.

- Hektor Cooper was distinguished of changing staff constantly, he tried a lot of footballers. As for you, main staff has already been created. Is it true?

- Main staff is created, but it does not mean that team’s door is closed for anyone. He, who will confirm that deserves playing in team, will be given all opportunities. Do not forget cadet team footballers, who play well. Before U-21 team 5-6 footballers have to come in National Team.

- Why did not you call up Marcvaladze again due to sport principles or still has visa problem?

- No, he does not have visa problem. Just, now is very loaded calendar in Russian first division and we took under our consideration his club’s interests. I called up him at the meeting and already know his possibilities. But due to our and Otar’s interests I did not call up him.

- There is no distinguished midfielder in our team. Will you use defender in this position?

- It is quite possible. We will play without midfielder. It is a joke … But World Championship showed us that only good footballer is not enough for winning. Main is team interests. It is good that there are footballers in Georgian team who can play in several positions. They have to arise country’s interests higher than their own.

- If Georgia team before U-21 will be able to win on August 11 in Armenia and will have chance of going through the group, what will happen then? Will you let Jano Ananidze and others play again there or you will call up them in main staff?

- More important is National Team. It is clear, that they will have important match with Turkey in September but the footballers who will be more important for us, I will call up.

Soso Chedia was asked about those footballers’ condition who play in National Championship
, because comparing to Ketsbaia he lives in Georgia and has more opportunities to know about it better.” It is nice that “Dinamo” and “Zestaponi” managed and went through 3rd qualifying round of Europa League. Temur also watched matches and we can say only well.Tornike Aftsiauri and Nika Gelashvili played well with Cameroon. We called up four footballers from Georgian clubs. It is good that guys have such success.” 

Mamuka Abuseridze talked about goalkeepers: “As we know, we called up Nukri Natsvlishvili and Giorgi Loria, they are in good condition at this time. As for Lomaia, he refused to play in team himself, but we do not know is it the last position or not. It is not doubtless Lomaia may change decision after watching game of the team.
