Now, Tatishvili is in the USA and will play in the Phoenix tournament (Arizona, 75 000 USD). According to the preliminary information, after Irina Falconi of America and Romina Oprandi of Italia, Georgian tennis player will be No.3 seed. Last year, Tatishvili went through the semifinal of the Phoenix tournament. So, she has to save 50 rating points.
Another 10 000 USD tournament will be held in Antalya. Ekaterine Gorgodze will be No.2 seed at this tournament. Laura-Ioana Andrei of Romania will have the first ranking. Last week, Gorgodze managed to go through ¼ final of the Antalya tournament. Andrei lost in the semifinal.
Men 10 000 USD tournament is underway in Antalya. Three Georgian tennis players are competing in the qualifying round. Two of them played against each other in the first round.
Aleksandre Metreveli defeated Davit Khubua 6:2, 6:1. Then, he won over No.10 seed Salvatore Karuso of Italy 7:5, 6:1. In the last round, Metreveli beat No.7 seed George Von Masou of Germany.
In the first round, Giorgi Revazishvili defeated Nikolas Ernst of Germany 6:7 (4:7), 6:3, 6:3 though, then he lost to Ioris de Lur of Belgium 2:6, 5:7.
