Georgian top seed tennis player Anna Tatishvili lost the 1/4 final of Las Vegas tournament (50 000 USD). She played against No.2 seed Uzbek Varvara Lepchenko who is competing in the name of the USA and finally, she was beat 6:7 (5:7), 7:6 (7:5), 3:6.
Tatishvili earned 18 rating points for competing in Nevada tournament. Last year she was beat in the first round in Las Vegas , so, she will advance in ranking. Anna is in the 135th place in Women's Tennis Classification (WTA).
Georgian top seed man tennis player Nikoloz Basilashvili had successful week. He is not among seeds at Irvine tournament (10 000 USD) in the USA. He managed to go through the semifinal.
In the 1/4 final Nikolozi played against Romanian Daescu and beat him 6:1, 6:2. He was beat by American Daniel Kosakowski 5:7, 0:6 in the semifinal. In the final Kosakowski will play against No.6 seed Australian Chris Guccione. Guccione is in the 546th place in ranking, though, he was No.67 tennis player in April 2008.
