Anna Tatishvili overcame the second round of the Midland tournament (100 000 USD) without losing even one set and won a right to play in ¼ final. In the previous round, Alison Riske was opponent of 22-year-old Georgian tennis player. Anna beat her 6:3, 7:5 though in the second set, American managed to equalize score from 0:5.

Tatishvili is No.3 seed at DOW CORNING TENNIS CLASSIC. Olga Govortsova of Belarus will be her next rival. Govortsova defeated Ashley Weinhold of the USA 6:1, 6:1.

Georgian tennis player earned 36 rating points. Last year, Anna managed to overcome the first round and will add only half of these points.

If Anna wins Govortsova over (today’s match will start at 21:00 Tbilisi time), winner between No.1 seed Lucie Hradecka of Czech Republic and No.8 seed Jamie Hampton of America will be her rival in semifinal. Semifinalist will earn 70 points, finalist – 100 and champion – 140.

In double draw, Tatishvili and American Glatch will play against Hampton and Oudin in ¼ final.

Ekaterine Gorgodze and Sofia Shapatava are through the semifinal of doubles draw at Rancho Mirage tournament (25 000 USD). Georgian girls defeated Italian Barbieri and Ukrainian Luknarova 7:5, 6:3. In semifinal, Georgians will play against Americans – Fink and Lumpkin.
