As we have already written, Georgian tennis player Anna Tatishvili celebrated the first victory at Quebec international tournament (220 000 USD). Anna defeated Sesil Karatantcheva of Kazakhstan 7:5, 1:6, 6:1 and will play against Petra Martic of Croatia.
It is worth mentioning that Martic is No.7 seed at “Challenge Bell”. Tatishvili is not seeded. However, balance of strength has changed now. Tatishvili started playing better and she is in the 52nd place on WTA ranking. Her future opponent is world No.76.
World bookmakers prefer the Georgian tennis player. Average coefficient is 1.8-2.1. 22-year-old Tatishvili will play against Martic for the first time in her career and in case of victory, she will earn 70 ranking points. Perhaps, it will help her to get in Top 50.
In doubles draw Tatishvili and Alexa Glatch of America lost to No.3 seed German-French duet 6:4, 3:6, 8:10.
Maka Chakhnashvili won over Maryna Zanevska of Ukraine 6:7 (10:12), 7:5, 7:5 in the first round of Mont-De-Marsan (France, 25 000 USD). In 1/8 final Maka will play against one of the winners of the qualifying draw Natalia Orlova of Russia. Orlova beat No.5 seed Iryna Bremond of France 3:6, 6:4, 6:4.
Tamar Chalaganidze could not overcome the qualifying draw at Antalya tournament (Turkey, 10 000 USD). She lost to Akvile Parazinskaite of Lithuania 7:5, 3:6, 2:6.
