Georgian top seed Anna Ttatishvili won the most important title in her career. 21-year-old Tatishvili has never gone through the final of the tournament has 100 000 $ prize money. But now she managed to go through the final easily of the Cuneo tournament.
In final match Tatishvili played against 20-year-old Dutch Arantxa Rus, who won over No.5 seed Croatian Mirjana Lucic, but she could not manage to beat Tatishvili. Anna really beat No.103 seed very easily 6:4, 6:3.
As a result of this victory Tatishvili gained 140 rating points. 98 points which she gained as a result of overcoming the second stage of Wimbledon also will add her rating. That’s why she will have serious advance in world ranking.
Tatishvili is on the 118th place in world ranking with 579 points. As a result of gaining these following points she has chance being not only in top 100 in top 90 also.
Next week, Anna competes at international tournament, which will be held in the city of Sweden, Bastad (220 000 $). She starts competition in the main wrap and her first rival is No.8 seed Slovenian Polona Hercog.
