Georgian tennis player Anna Tatishvili is through semifinal of the Albuquerque tournament (75 000 USD). She defended her 50 rating points. 21-year-old Tatishvili lost the first set to Lauren Davis of America but won other two sets – 2:6, 6:4, 6:1.
Anna is No.1 seed in Albuquerque. Aleksandra Wozniak of Canada will be her next opponent. Wozniak is in the 120th place in WTA ranking. Her highest ranking was No.21 in summer 2009. Tatishvili is in the 96th place in ranking. Finalist will gain 78 rating points and winner – 110 points. Edina Gallovits-Hall of Romania and Regina Kulikova of Russia will play in the second semifinal. This evening at 22:00 Tbilisi time, this last duet will play the first at the central court. The match of Tatishvili should start at 23:15.
The Tbilisi tournament (25 000 USD) will end up without Georgian tennis player. Sofia Kvatsabaia who was losing to Reka-Luca Jani of Hungary 0:4 refused to continue playing.
