Successful Tuesday - Mikadze as well as Tatishvili!
The second day of Baku tournament was quite lucky and profitable for Georgian tennis players.  In the first match of the day Tatia Mikdze (377) managed to overcome qualifying round and go through the main wrap as “lucky looser” after beating 16-year-old Russian Nina Khrisanova a newcomer in WTA ranking. The match lasted for 50 minutes and finally ended in favor with Mikadze – 6:0, 6:0!

Mikadze went through the second circle, where she plays against Anna Tatishvili (No.93 seed). In the first circle Anna had quite strong examiner- No.8 seed Evgenya Rodina (No.78). Tatishvili held this match quite mobilized, made less mistakes than her rival and went through the next stage – 6:4, 6:2.

In the second circle two Georgians play against each other according to the tournament’s schedule, which means that there will be one Georgian in the third circle in any case. Supposedly Vera Zvonariova No.3 seed of the world will play in quarter-final that’s why both of Georgian players will have minimal chances to beat her.
