In the United Arab Emirates finishes chess festival of Abu Dhabi, where Georgian chess players - Zurab Sturua (2512) and Nino Gurieli (2329) are competing.
After 8 rounds are two leader chess players – Ana Zozulia (2340, representing Belgium) and Gurieli 6.5-6.5.
Leaders played against each other in the first round and they draw. In the last round Gurieli will play against Indian Balanchandar Neetu, who does not have raiting. As for Zozulia she will play against Egyptian Maher Atia Vimi.
In men tournament Zurab Sturua collected 4.5.points in 7 rounds and shares the 5 th among 26 participants. Leader of the tournament Anton Korobov (2657) has 5.5points.
In the 8th round Sturua will play against Armenian Ashot Anastasyan (2578), who is in the 2nd place.
Arab tournament consists of 9 rounds, prize-winner among men will be awarded by 3 533 USD and woman champion – 716 USD.
