Start of Group F with Bad Failure

 

Georgian national basketball team was very close to victory in group F at European championship. Zaza Pachulia captain of the team could not manage to help the team due to injury, Tsintsadze injured during the match. Georgians were very close to overtime, but American leader of Macedonian team Bo McCalebb scored decisive 2 point kick, who gained 27 points in this match.
Georgians started the match very well and in a minute they advanced 5:0, but in spite of this Macedonia won the first half, but only with one point. At the beginning of the second quarter Georgians could not do anything during two minutes and half. Macedonians advanced with six points. 4minutes and 34 seconds before ending the first half Georgians were loosing with 10 points, but before time-outpoint difference between the teams was 3 points.
Georgian team advanced at the beginning of the third quarter, but soon Macedonians activated, used Georgian mistakes and advanced with 10 points.
In the final quarter, during five minutes and 34 seconds Macedonians could not score even a point. During this period Georgians gained 8 points. 16 seconds before the final whistle, Nika Tskitishvili scored two penalty kicks and equalized – 63:63. But Bo McCalebb who was unstoppable for Georgian national team, managed to score two point kick 2 seconds before ending the match. It means that Macedonia is leader of the group with three victories. As for Georgia, it is on the 5th place after this sad failure.
