New Spanish player is to join ”Dinamo” Tbilisi – 28-year-old midfielder Andreu Guerao. Before New Year there was spread information about his possible transfer, but now New Zealander web-sites also have reported that Spanish player will continue career in Tbilisi. Why New Zealander? Because, Guerau was playing for “Auckland City” last four months.
Guerao is central midfielder – more oriented on defense. “Boxscorenews” reported that Spanish football player would return in Europe and spread the following information: “Andreu was for some months with us, but in spite of short time he managed to make great impression on us. He is to join “Dinamo” Tbilisi, which was one of the grand football clubs in firmer Soviet Union. Now Spanish Alex Garcia is head coach of the club.

Andreu Guerao Mayoral was born on June 17, 1982 in Barcelona and was growing up in “Barca’ Academy. He held 12 matches for FC Barcelona B, in the third division in 2003-2005. in 2005-2006 he held 33 matches and scored 2 goals for “Malaga B”, in 2006-2010 he used to play for “Gijon” (41 matches, 1 goal), then spent one season in “Polonia” Warsaw (34 matches, 1 goal) and since September 2010 was playing for “Auckland City”.

Why he did not have successful career in “Gijon”? The reason of it was his injuries. During four seasons holding 41 matches are very few.
In Poland he scored the only goal against “Lechia” in Warsaw derby. While he was playing for “Polonia’, his countryman Juse Mari Bakero former captain of “Barcelona” was head coach of “Polonia”.
By the way, in December Guerao participated in world club championship – “Auckland City” lost with Japanese “Kashiwa Reysol” 0:2.
Andreu’s brother, Tonet Gearao is also football player and grew up in “Barcelona” academy too, but now he plays in one of the low leagues of Spain.
