On January 17, “Sokhumi” and “Rustavi” started tournament day at Korkia-Sakandelidze Memorial. The match ended in favor of “Sokhumi”- 81:61. Irakli Chlaidze gained the most points for “Sokhumi” – 16 points. As for “Rustavi”, Vakhtang Kandaria earned 15 points, 18 block-shots and double-double. Rymvidas Samulenas head coach of “Sokhumi” stated the following after the match:” I would like to congratulate guys this victory. Today we did not have strong rival, but “Rustavi” did its best against us. As for our club, guys are in normal physical condition and we will do everything for showing good results at this tournament as well as future ones”.
