The attention of Georgian basketball fans is directed towards Lithuania, which hosts final tournament of European basketball championship 2011.
The only debutant of this tournament is Georgian national team, which competes in group D with Slovenia, Russia, Belgium, Ukraine and Bulgaria in the city of Lithuania, Klaipeda.
After one-day day-off, competition in group D is renovated and the third round matches were held. After loosing difficult match with Russia, rival of Georgian team will be one of the favorites of our group Slovenia. Slovenia as well as Russia have maximum points and they are at the head of tournament.  
The match between Georgia and Slovenia starts at 19:00 o’clock. If we take under consideration, that Georgians started the tournament with impressive victory and as for Slovenians they do not play in impressive way. Nothing is excluded in today’s match, no one knows who will be a winner.
Slovenia gained maximum points in two matches, but as we have already mentioned, it competes unconvincing way and managed to win with a little advantages over Bulgarians and Ukrainians.

As it has already been mentioned, in compare with Slovenians, Georgians started tournament in brilliant way and won over Belgium, quite strong rival – 81:59.
It is remarkable, that all the members of Georgian national team played against Belgium team. Zaza Pachulia (16p) captain of the team, Vladimer Boisa (10 p), Viktor Sanikidze (11 p) and young basketball player Tornike Shengelia (13 p) were distinguished players in this match. The main thing is that finally Georgians improved playing in defensive line.  As for the second match, Georgia lost it with Russia, but in spite of failure Georgians played very well.
Slovenia has good basketball players in every line, but it does not have high class players as Russian national team has (Kirilenko plays for NBA). Slovenia has better team than Georgian national team, but the fact that Georgians play convincingly and Slovenians vice-versa gives optimism to Georgians.
